About the group:
Applause Vadodara encourages an age-no-bar gender-no-bar language-no-bar type of association with theatre and art. Our mission is to create Innovative theatre Experiences that engage empower and entertain. We are Vadodara's first and most popular theatre initiative started in 2014.
Applause has more than 10 productions to credit and artists have performed at various festivals such as Kalaghoda Arts Festival International Children's Theatre festival Sayaji Literature Festival to name a few. Workshops by Applause Vadodara have been hosted across the country from Chandigarh to Mumbai and various other locations.
About the key facilitators:
Prakruti Mehta is a certified Art Therapist and artist with a wide array of work working with different media. She enjoys working with children and has hosted numerous sessions for art-work online and in-person. She believes in the power of art for expression and that the impact can open the mind and one's potential.
Apsara Iyengar has been a mentor and Theatre practitioner for a 12 years now and she has been mentoring & traveling around the country as a Theatre facilitator in various universities schools and festivals. She's held more than 500 hours of workshops and more than 100 storytelling sessions for children. She's passionate about bringing ideas to life creating joy through drama and creating art and theatre engagement for all age-groups and levels of experience.
She’s a regular writer for Theatre gym London and as a key back facilitator for playback Nigeria’s International Theatre Festival. She’s a published microfiction author with Half Baked Beans publication.
